Guess no one fishes it, keep trying and good luck.
They have closed the road on the far east side of Mooresville that goes back into the gravel pits...tried to go back in there Monday.
Caught one today Bout 4 inches. Lol
There's always a few Crappie in those pits, but the best time for them is during the spring.
Yeah. I caught a bunch of Slabs last spring.just looking for somewhere to bank fish now.just been trying them.
The refuge roads will be closed until the end of duck season mid Feb I think due to the youth hunt two weekends after the regular season closure at the end of Jan
Where is somewhere else I might could catch a few from the bank in the area?im new to fall and winter fishing.
You might try the Hwy 31 causeway. Genecline posted a very nice mess and I think he was casting out on the east side of the causeway around the bridge....from his report.
Thanks. I saw that but figured he was in a boat. I'm recently divorced an have time to fish some now.but like I said I'm new to fall fishing. Thanks again
Can also hit the pump house off rock house road take Greenbrier turn R on rock house and keep going until you hit the gate to the refuge. Road will turn into a dirt road along the river.
I've fished there a few times in the past.manly cat fishing.do I fish there at the pump house or walk farther?
You might can try the pump house in the day park on the hwy 31 causeway walk past the pump house and fish behind it I have caught them back there
Thanks guys.ill give all the places y'all mentioned a try.also. Anybody ever fished the bridge on 31 before you start up the hill into hartselle??im gonna be living in hartselle for a few months and was just wondering.
I would try the area to the south or Red Bank Road Bridge. Red Bank Road is probably a mile north on Boles Bridge on the east side of 31.
Ok thanks.
