Can't brag enough about the the fishing.... Seems everyone got their limit and plenty of BIG fish. Good to see everybody...new faces and old as well. The wind wasn't a factor til late in the morning and by that time folks were culling their live wells...

I had a large time. Some kind of good fishing and a bunch of good folks to rub elbows with. Good food, good weather, big fish, good friends........It just doesn't get any better!

Great pics. Sorry I missed it but was doing test run on my new tent up at talquin. Once I get cloning working good, I'll be able to attend multiple events at same time. Just gimme a few, I'll get it to work, at least I'm gonna try. Thanks for sharing. Good job to everyone on the great catching.

Great job on a great event. And "Congrats" on putting us to shame:cheers2. Yesterday was our great day of catching big fish and plenty of fish, but the wind was a monster today. Looking forward to getting down there soon!!
Shame Shame on me!!!! I been hangin out feelng sorry for myself cause this Dang ear thing is back after 8 operations---cant get into JOHN HOPKINS in Baltimore until April ---effects my balance, vertigo, eyesight--------but ill be strapping myself to my seat and be out there everyday as usual when they start running!
Havent been on the forum lately----SOOOO IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN I PHONED SLAB TODAY AND HE IS AT TALQUIN!!! AND U GUYS ARE AT MONROE!!!

Thanks for the good pics Danny, you did a good job. My camera was in the boat, but all I was thinking about was meeting everyone and a bite to eat. So many faces now go with the names. We do have a good bunch of folks to call friends. Good to see everyone.

Thank you Mike for organizing a superb slabtogether. The weather bums were wrong as usual, light winds in the morning and the fish were cooperating. Phantom, see the fish gods didn't forget you.................
I had a great time yeasterday, fished water that I haven't been on in years, met new friends and sent Sunshine home with a cooler of fish.
We didn't catch the numbers that some of the others caught but had enough quality fish to make it more than worth while.
it was great to meet some of you and put faces with names, looking forward to the next one.

Finally after 6 yrs was able to work it out to come to Slabfest. What a day in am, trying to find place to park after
launch - Thought my partner Kenny had gone to Sanford - to park - took that long.
We started in and were at dock by Noon, but loading a finding a place to park, culling fish ...
Was Bummer - was hoping for "fruit har" - Only have one more operation to go through
By time we reached weigh in - everyone was eating - scales were opon and was told to go ahead and weigh
Must say this was best day i ever had a Monroe - catch wise & weight was.
Our 5 fish weighed in at 8 lbs .05 oz (if we would have weighed 7 fish, as FCC show, would have been 10 lbs 8.11 oz)

Harold, having read your posts and gone back and forth on different subjects over the past months, I'm real glad that you were able to put it all together to be here. Very nice to meet you and Ken. And the chance to see that super boat you brought back, also real nice. Glad you had a good time and a safe trip home. Til next time......Skeet.

Ken has & is a great partner - he really watches over me besides being an excellent fisherman - Back in late Sept.
he made it very clear to me that if i couldn't walk he wouldn't put me in boat - what a therapy trainer he is

Thanks Mike for a great day. It was nice to meet you and all the rest of the group. You made this newcomer feel right at home. And my bass-fishin' buddy had a great time, too. Might make him a convert with a couple more days like Saturday.

Looks like a great time & good day of fishing. Really hated to miss it & thought about it all weekend, hope to make the next one.
Good fishing / catching was had by all. Another great time with the added bonus of meeting new friends.
