Square surfaces not round with quiet counterweight (such as water or other fluid). Round surfaces (especially without counterweight) keep unwinding in windy or current conditions.
A smaller version of the "H" type, foam filled and dark color, brown /green /black would be great.

I like the H type. All of mine have been foam filled with great stuff and the hole plugged while the foam was still soft. I also replaced the weightwith a large bank sinker of the same weight. The flat lead wraps around the bouy and makes storage easier but they twist and get wedged into brush and tree limbs. No problem since the bank sinker. Bright colors also attract other boats so I'm also in on the muted colors.
One that rolls itself up ! :ThumbsUp
These are what I've found to be the best. From mannsbait.com on sale right now for only $6.99 (2/pk)

I ALSO USE THE H SHAPE BOUY,I PAINT IT WITH ABOUT 3 COLORS SO NOT SEEN EASY AND WHEN NEEDED I FILL IT WITH FOAM,I ALSO USE A AUTO WINDER THAT WILL CUT OFF WHEN IT WINDS UP AUTOMATIC,WORKS GREAT BUT REALLY GREAT IN WINTER .I ALSO CHANGE THE WEIGHT TO A TEAR DROP SINKER
HEY TAHOE,WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ,HAVE NOT SEEN YOU FOR A WHILE
This is crazy, but since you asked.
I want a marker with no line or weight, but rather a built in GPS spot lock feature that is activated when it hits the water. No sure what propels it, but it could be solar powered. It must be durable and affordable. I know, its beyond our reach at the moment, but maybe for my grand kids some day. lol.
I also want them to be easily stored. I want a 4 pack with two holders, one for the bow and one for the transom.
