Made a critical mistake at the MCC tourney in Sardis yesterday.
I had 5 solid fish in my rear live well and one 13.5" fish. We had 6-7 more about the same size in our front live well. I put my 5 good fish in the tourney bucket full of water and took the smaller one out to compare it with the front fish. After using my culling beam to determine the largest fish of the bunch I put him in the bucket. I thought I had seven at that point. I forgot that I had removed one from my original six to compare and still needed one more. I only wound up weighing 6 fish. Had 10.05 with 6. I thought that was light, but I went with it. The scales don't lie right? I gave my partner the bucket after weighing and he dumped it back in the live well. When I got home to give him the fish I noticed we only had six in the rear live well. I asked him what he did with the other fish. He answered "that's what was in the bucket". I remembered removing the one and only adding one back after I thought about what I had done. Cost myself a top 10 finish and whatever that would have paid. We had another fish that would have weighed at least 1.25 lbs in the front live well that didn't get weighed because of my mistske. Been upset with myself all last night and today. Live and learn I guess. Nobody even counted my fish when I dumped them in the weigh in basket or I would have gone to get another fish which is legal at the MCC tourneys. I might weigh 8 next time if they ain't counting to make up for it. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
Totally my fault. Really frustrated at MYSELF!!!!!
