I am looking for about 5 pcs of bamboo cane in the length of about 15 feet each.
Will use for a garden project. Hope someone could bring to the November fishing event on Lake Monroe.

How big around John? I see some from time to time.
Stuff is growing wild on side of public boat ramp in Astor.
I can bring you a truck load but I will be at Talquin that weekend.
I have some growing in my yard, but it's not thick enough to do what you are wanting to do with it.
Might be perfect for some crappie condos though. :biggrin
What else do you grow (i know this isnt fishing also). Danny got me hooked on growing tomatoes a few years ago.... made some home made sauce and salsa over the summer.

I grew two kinds this year and those pumpkin looking ones were one = they were good but I won't be
growing any more ...
The others were round and not too big, bout the size of a baseball = kept seeds from em, will plant in spring .......
You got a good harvest ...........................
We harvested 28 pineapple, bananas, key limes, figs, persimmons, guava, loquats (two trees) we dehydrate some and make sweet pickle loquats, papaya, blueberry, new this year two strawberry plants, chives, basal, lavender, blueberries, mint. I am sure that I missed a few other eatables.
Sounds awesome!! I want a couple of blueberry bushes and a Kent mango tree.

I grew those in Philly. They grow better up there. We rented a house for the summer and it had an awesomw yard and good soil. Here is Terry standing next to some in pots but there were a lot more growing in the side yard in the ground.

If you guys really want to put out some tomatoes down here, look into dutch bucket hydroponics. Eliminates a lot of the nutrient and pest issues that come with the territory of gardening in Florida.
I didn't grow a garden the past year, but I did the few years previous to that. I interned on a aquaponics farm in college, and it really opened my eyes to the benefits of aqua/hydroponics.
I did a side by side study of growing maters in the ground vs in dutch buckets in 2012. The hydroponics system produced fruit 3 weeks earlier than the in ground plants, and produced twice as well.
Some of those look like heirlooms. Best tomato I've ever put in my mouth. Nice looking 'maters Ginny.
When I buy seeds or plants I see bugs and fungus putting napkins around their necks.
Sunshine,
I use Earthboxes and other Self Watering Containers and do really well even though we are only 40 yards (or less) ftom the intracoastal waterway (Oak Hill, FL).
Here are some pictures of my plants from this past spring (before we went to Philly for the summer). You can see the water in the background of some of the pictures.

Yelim - same here. It is definitely a hassle to grow maters and some other veggies here. Lost the whole crop last fall due to a virus transmitted by white flies. The ones we grow taste so much better than store bought or we wouldnt do it.

Hmmm. Well they werent out there like they were the year before and prior years. The biomass never moved. Well acyually it wasbprobably just too cloudy to see them with that brown and green tide being so bad this past spring.
