Ouachita river report 10/10

40watt and I hit some sloughs off the river today for some thump action.

Water is lower than normal and cooled down 6 to 8 degrees from last friday.

Bite was slow after at first but seemed to pick up around 10 am.

Found our fish hanging near wood. Did best swimming a jig just above structure.

Color didn't seem to matter much as we both fished several different colors and caught on most all of them.

Kept 35 but no real bigguns. Fish seem to be following shad into the sloughs.

Great report, Jimmy. Congratulations! Great pics too. I think I am going to take my two oldest grandchildren to D'Arbonne Bayou in the morning and see what we can stir up.
