On my never ending quest to make the perfect jig head to meet my needs and style of fishing this is my latest creation and hope my search is finally over.
What are my needs?
1. Weedless
2. Wire keeper
3. 1/16 oz up to 1/4 oz and everything in between
4. 35 and 90 degree hook capable
5. Spinner
What's my style of fishing?
Mostly a mesh of cast and drag through thick cover and single or double vertical jigging.
With this mold if I want a non weedless it is nothing to snip the little bit of lead that filled the weedless cavity. Same with the hooks. If I want a 90 degree hook I simply snip the lead that filled the 35 degree cavity and vise versa.
Below is pics from start to finish on how I modded the mold. Next step is to test it this weekend. If it works I will also mod the mold to accept a spinner when need be.

Don't know why these 2 pics are upside down. Carefully close mold so that wire keeper and hook stays in place and beat both sides with a rubber mallet. Doesn't take much. The more beating you do of the mold the more chance you take of warping the mold. You can always beat it back straight. Simply close mold with nothing within the mold and beat it until it's straight and closes tightly.

You will now have an indention in the mold of the wire keeper.

I take a 1/16" bit and slightly go along the indention of the wire keeper to open it up a little more.

Do the same with the 90 degree hook that you did with the wire keeper indention.

Use the same 1/16 oz bit with this nifty little attachment for your rotary tool. Get the proper depth from the hook eye cavity.

Carefully open up the eye indention.

Fire up lead station and pour.
