Does anyone on here know of any page I could go to to find a private individual that hauls across country? Looking at buying a boat in TN and getting it home to IL.
Thanks

What size boat? You will save lots of $$$ if you can go get it yourself.
I'm kind of a blunt person so please don't take offense. I know exactly how far it is(533mi one way) and that it will take me a little over 8 hours to do it. So that equates to 16 hrs plus and 1066 miles minimum. I didn't post a question asking if I should drive it or not, I asked for info about finding a drive away service.

Here is a website to contract with shippers for single loads.

I'll be blunt too. This is a public forum on the internet. I would never expect a perfect answer to a question. Everyone interprets things differently. But there's never a reason to be, let me put it this way, "exceedingly blunt". Please remember, this is a family friendly website, first and foremost.

Might check with your local car dealers...they use people like that sometimes..especially used dealers
Maybe this will help. :twocents

Check with your local RV dealer that sell motor homes...when they get one delivered, the driver has to get a ride back home
I'm expecting you'll find that most transport will be close to a dollar a mile. The brokers will take more off the top and Lord only knows who will be towing your piece. Been trucking 16years and have seen some folks pulling other folks possessions in a way that I would be upset if it were mine. I believe one of the better ones was Joule marine transport, and I probably mis spelled it. They do a lot of boats from the great lakes to salt water regularly. I personally would go with someone with references over a lower price. Good luck and let us know how it works out for you.
Mite suggest if the boat is used and not going to be put on a transporter that you have the trailer's wheel bearings inspected and repacked, lights inspected and repaired if required
Had mine shipped from factory to our house. Price was about what Skeet stated.
There is a web site for that kind of hauling, sorry, I do not know it. I am sure someone will help you.
U ship gave me bids from $460.00 to $630, apparently there are a lot of haulers out there.
Thanks
Enough with the shipping. what kind of boat did you buy? Pics?
