2nd shot for good measure? I would have emptied my gun on it. Sounds like a pretty good dog to me.

I would of caught it and let it go somewhere....far from my house
-
No second shot Jared. It was coiled up .
Don't let the poisonous one around the house live. To many grandkids running around yard for that. Non poisonous snakes get a pass.
-
Wow, that would get your heart beating. Nice shot.

Nice shot thanks for sharing

Nice shot! .17HMR is a nice load, you tore that dude up. Gotta watch those copperheads, they will chase you, mean little dudes.

If I would have seen that thing outside my house, there would have been 16 holes (in or around) that snake!!!! Why? Because that would have been as many rounds as I had on me at the time!!!!!:hatchet::hatchet::hatchet::hatchet::hatc het::hatchet:

LOL. I'm definitely not scared of snakes. I'm the guy who usually picks them up and plays with them. But venomous ones around the house get a lead injection. Have to many grandkids and pets running around the yard to chance it.

At least it was not a pregnant one. I have killed three of them over the last 8 years at the house. Last one was on the ledge next to the doorbell. That will wake you up at 5 in the morning real quick. lol
