Only profession in the world where you can be totally wrong 90% of the time and still keep your job! Im a nurse.......wonder what would happen if I made a mistake! Someone would die,I get sued or thrown in jail, etc. And bet that ole weatherman gets paid 6-8X more than I with no liabilities lol.
Im joking in my post BTW. While reading it one may assume im upset. Im not. Just throwing out the facts. :biggrin
Same with us. Got 20 people standing around watching it rain.

I finished mine up around 11 this morning. We need rain bad in Monroe County.
Got mine planted 09/01, no rain, had to haul water.
Easy now fellAs. The deer have plenty to eat now and will have plenty until the acorns are gone. The key is to not plant too early. The taller it gets the tougher the leaf get. The deer like feeding on tender grass. That's been my take anyway
Get mine in next weekend. That forestry mulcher dos a fine job of cutting in about a mile of lanes on the farm and the ground is perfect for throw n grow this year
Got the ground worked this morning finally. Go over the top with roundup next weekend. Seed and fertilizer first weekend on October.

Weathermen and women are like "We get PAID to be wrong".
what could I put out right now for a food plot? I just got a placed disc up
I'm going to do oats/wheat/austrian peas at a 2/2/1 ratio. (30lbs/30lbs/15lbs per acre). Many folks would add clover (crimson or arrowleaf) to the mix. I dont because my plots will be under water by the first of December (i hope) so clover does not have time to make.
My first year doing them so I'm just putting out Throw and Grow. Got Rye grass, Clover and what ever Braccus is
