Nice slabs man. I lived in Moorpark for a while, and used to love to fish Piru. Back then I fished mostly green carp, but loved the Crappie.

Good job locating them. Looks like they're still pretty deep.
Lived in Oxnard for 23 yrs. Fished some at Piru, but didn't know it was that good of a Crappie fishery. Great report and pic's. I missed some good fishing there:banghead

How's the fishing out there now?
I went there last week to test out my new to me aluminum boat and it seemed like the lake was super low and all the recommended "coves" were none existent.
Any advice?
fish are still there, if you haven't fish it
in awhile, its like starting a new lake

They had a huge crappie die off at piru,,they are trying to get the state to restock.
