What are they doing on water when lightening is popping.
Hate to hear it, we barely made it off Butla in time today. It went from calm and peaceful to ominous and threatening very quickly around noon today. I lucked out and put in at pleasant Hill, perfect landing shielded us on our way out.. ib I'm sure these folks weren't nuts, they were just very unfortunate, it happens all to quickly. sir, they more than likely awoke this morning planning on a good day of fishing like we all do and had no idea it would be their last day together. may GOD watch over them..
They were on the bank arrowhead hunting. They weren't married either, they did live together.

That's sad. Prayers sent.
That storm was weird it was coming from the southeast then it seemed to turn and come back the other way. My father and I was not too far from there fishing and had to leave in a hurry. Prayers for all involved.
So sad to hear. prayers sent

Very bad situation. Praying for all involved, the victims and the responders. Storms and lighting can come upon you so very quickly when you are on the water. This time of year a seemingly insignificant cloud can turn big and nasty within minutes and some of these exposed and remote places take time from which to retreat to safety.

That's terrible. Isn't that 2 that have died in that area this year? Prayers for the family.
Man I hate to hear this! We were caught in the same storm went to nearest ramp and rode it out in a bathroom! Prayers for them!

Doesn't sound like the lake got them tho. Lightning can get you anywhere.
Not real sure that it is legal to hunt arrow heads" we can't hunt them around the trace, unless some rule has changed
It's not legal but it's beside the point, hope some radical don't get ahold to these reports and push the issue.
I dont think its illegal unless you are digging

Don and John are correct illegal on all Federal land......Private lands only with written permission from the landowner and surface hunting only...no digging. Lot of loop holes etc. and hard to figure out on the Federal laws tho. Read here and you will see what I mean. https://dougsarchaeology.wordpress.c...-federal-land/
