A nice system!
What are pipes for ? I have drilled holes around top of a bucket .
Great way to keep down on the tangles.....
Nice! How long is your line, hook to swivel?
What do you use them for sorry I am kind of new to this

My lines are 6 to 8 feet from top to swivel. From trotline clip to hook varies from 4 inches to 12 inches, I have cast net weights that I can thread on to the line if needed. What do I use them for? To tie on limbs to catch catfish. I have caught rom 1 pounders up to 63 pounders. The tubes hold the lines and hooks to stop tangle ups. 25 tubes fit snugly in a 5 gallon bucket and stay in place on there on, no need to attach them in any fashion. I have three buckets with 25 hooks each. I tie the lines on the bush then one hour before sun set I go back and attach the bait using trotline clip to swivel. Also makes taking the fish off the line easier with the trotline clips. then rebait with another before I move to next bush. I fish with live bream.
When setting your limb lines, how deep do you set them and do you use a sinker?
What size line do you tie to the bank and do you rig it across where there is no boat traffic

I use about the same setup... it's a lot of fun
The lines are about six foot long tied to a bush with a sinker on them and a slip knot tied to keep bait just under the top of the water. when the cat takes the bait and runs the slip knot is released and the cat has full length of line and that usually sets the hook.
I'll have to try the slip knot idea.
Reason I asked is because we set about 8 limb lines on the verdigris using perch for bait and didn't catch any. Left them for about 3 hours and most still had bait
It's about 20 foot deep in the area and we set them about 2 foot.

Use to limb line the creek on gpa's farm back in early 80's. Sure miss that.

Cats bite better at night we set out at dusk and check them at sun rise.
