11 inch ML...can keep 5 shorts a day...is that per person, or per boat? Seems self-defeating for the M/L to work . Glad they got the 11 inch m/l

From my understanding it's per person. Clarification is welcomed if I am wrong. Plenty of legal fish with minimum length increase. Be down the first week of March, can't wait!!

Makes no difference to me..just looking for a clarification. Looking forward to fishing it in november.
Its per person
Love the rule but it's gonna be tough to let a less than 11" fish off the hook when it's on a YoYo LOL
Per person, rule will help for sure. Landlocked lake that has a good spawn almost every year.
Don't matter yo yo's done got them all #!!!Don't waste your time and money !!!!

I like the new rule, but wish the yo yo's were gone. The overall number of 3lb+ fish has decreased in the past 3-4 years if you look at the tourney weigh ins. I know someone will holler it's a cycle, and I'm sure some of it is, but maybe the new rule will speed the cycle for bigger fish up some. To many 2-2.5lb fish going home in coolers nowadays with the media attention it's had as of late. The CM National Championship will be back there in 2017. Everyone likes catching big fish including me, but to release those BIG girls under 3 would be welcomed in my book. It's known as a Trophy Lake. Let's help to keep it that way with a bit of conservation.
Im a firm believer that "If ya need em, Eat em" but in reality, most of the fishermen I know don't need near as many as they catch. Post your pics an chunk em back if ya don't NEED em. JMO tho.
Because of the size of the lake, I feel the same way about Butla.
Nice post Bill. I agree that when they start saying it's a cycle is BS it's just a way to cover up the real issue which is pressure. Most these lakes in Mississippi are trophy lakes people drive hundreds of miles to fish them and it mine and everyone else's that fish these lakes responsibility to keep them that way. I'm a firm believer that we all need to do are part throw fish back if u don't need them, Take the time to build structure. Just remember these are everybody's lakes do your part to keep them trophy lakes cause they can't fix themselves we have to do that as fisherman.
amen.....
I think differently than most on this subject, as most anglers call everything in the lake structure.
We can build all the COVER we want and that is certainly a great way to help our fisheries. IMO, only GOD can build STRUCTURE aka "the lay of the land". That's just how I was taught. Old School I guess. [emoji4]
Yo-yo fishermen hate on crankers, crankers hate on trot liners, single polers hate on everybody. "Can't we all just get along?"
Per person
Agree with you on that, Bill
