This if for local guys from Crappie dot com and others that enjoy fishing updates and info on Oklahoma lakes. No infringement on Crappie dot come is allowed.
Facebook is the debil.
I deleted my account before all of my idiot relatives disowned me. I have some really stupid relatives that live on FB.
No FB for me either. CDC is the total of my online presence.
X3 for me- " ain't nobody got time for that!"
It can actually be a good marketing tool if used right. My shop has a FB account where we post upcoming events we're going to attend, or a picture of something we're doing. Just to keep people interested and up to date. My personal account I use to tick people off! LOL which it seems is about what I do here!😂😂😂
I think too many OK members count out the power of social media like they do minners, spider rigging and pulling cranks. It is a powerful tool. I know of several OK fishing groups with upwards of 30k members. One would say it could be a powerful tool for getting the word out on OK tournaments and/or camps???
There are people in Facebook that have never heard of us here at Crappie dot com. I plan on informing them and hopefully we will have some new members here.
FB like previously said is a great tool not only for a business like mine, but also to keep up with some close friends. I can delete or block the rip rap on FB that like to personally attack individuals and love Drama. Another reason I just check in periodically. FB is another great place to keep up with new crappie baits, lake reports, fishing reports, ect. It's a great tool. Jim invited me to join up on his group and I feel honored. Thanks Jim.......Ranger.
I tend to agree. I do have an account only because that's the only way some of my bird hunting groups/buddies communicate. I had one a couple of years ago and deleted it after I received a notice from facebook that someone in the GRU was attempting to log in as me. It was probably an old adversary just playing games with me since I have been retired many years from the spook life.
It is a good way to communicate as long as you don't overdue it. As an old security/intel professional I learned many decades ago there is such a thing as TMI. When you post several times a day it's easy to track your activities. It's especially easy to track you when you post what city/restaurant/business you are currently at. All someone needs to do is decide if they can beat you home to clean out your stuff. TMI!
