As do I! I love it when it starts cooling down and feels like summer is burning off. Feels like everything is slowing down just a bit. It gets me in the mood for bow season for sure!
RR when does your season open?
Remembering what once was.

Nice... Not sure I will get to make it to lease this year. Too busy with work.
Went out to visit with the deer myself last weekend ......they were all over the place .....I do enjoy watching them for sure .....out of 25 or 30 though we only saw one spike buck .......the larger specimens know what is up .....lol
Great Picture RR, love that stuff! Your a Bless man to have that! I quit hunting probably several, maybe more years ago. After moving here and getting on a lease club type thing, there were just too many guys on that land. So I got on another lease, moved my stands and feeders, then that property sold and we no longer had a lease so brought my stands and feeders home and decided I was done moving all that stuff around looking for a decent place to hunt so I sold that stuff and put guns in the safe and they sit there. I have over 30 boxes of ammo for each deer rifle and a shooting range is 50 miles at the closest. Shame as I do love hunting. I do get to see quite a few around here just driving and most any evening I can dive a very few miles and see plenty of deer.
Love seeing them!

Skip, I've hunted all my life............but, have slowed down so much and find almost as much fun in placing game cameras around and just feeding the deer.
Know exactly what you mean. I have taken up photography again for more than jigs, lol1 I use to be all into it and had a very nice Nikon with several lens and then digital came through as a real thing and I just was defeated about that so just kind of quit. However last year I bought an updated point and shoot that has a 50 X zoom and takes really good pictures. So I got back into one of the things I love, taking pictures of birds and animals. My Facebook page has a lot of pictures that I posted, but it's only a tiny number compared to the ones I took and are on my computer. If your on FB take a look. https://www.facebook.com/skip.nantz
Only trouble is now I want a better camera, lol! So guess it's time to make a few beans, lol!

Stretch baby stretch.
Just for kicks I am going to post a bird picture from yesterday. This kind of thing is why I also like this time of year, but also the spring as both mean birds coming through here that we don't get to see all the time. I was shocked yesterday when I saw this Baltimore Oriole on my Hummingbird feeder drinking some of the sugar water and then he jumped off there and came right in front of the window I as in front of. Anyway here he is and almost forgot his female bride was also here with him.

Close up of the above.
Very strange horn on that buck! Also have to wonder if his brain has had an issue as when a skunk shows up it's time to move away, lol!

An antler clubbed like that usually means an injury of some kind. I was told years ago that if a deer has an issue on it's left side, the right antler will be affected and
vice versa. I've been paying attention to a number of deer over the past several years and have found it can carry over into following years if the injury is severe
enough. By no means an expert of any kind, but enjoy observing anomalies in deer via the game cameras. Some of them have interesting traits.
Attachment 251555 I don't know why it is sideways, but if he walks out Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, I might have to bust him
