My mom always made hers with okra, corn and onion for soup mix then put in some corn bread and that was lunch and supper.:highfive

Brett, you can put fish up in jars too. My last trip to Oregon we canned a lot of Tuna. I froze mine and brought it home and canned it here. Wasn't going to risk shipping a case of tuna in glass jars. We canned salmon too and both are really good, much better than store bought stuff.
Yes we pack a cooler completely full and duct tape shut. Everything is still frozen solid when we get home. We could have canned it out there but I was afraid the jars would break in transit.
I had a friend that me and "Sweetie" fished off there pier (back before boats :biggrin) and they said to keep anything we caught
and they canned everything no matter how little or big just like Ray did salmon== cant remember if I ate any but they said you could not tell it from salmon. btw the salmon Ray canned was way past salmon you buy at stores. man!! that was good eating
