Mac, you can get the schedule license online and they will mail it to you. I think it's a couple bucks more.
But with your money I wouldn't worry about it.
Come on down for Saturday, I could use some help from the nc side
Mac there is a Wal-Mart a couple miles after you cross the lake on 49 where I usually get my license and my friend going Saturday will renew his license there too.
I hit Cane Creek Park this morning at 7 had landed 9 by 8am and then it stopped. Yellow was the color, .7 mph. water temp 87 % . fish were holding around 13' in 20 ' of water. By 10:30 I'd had enough boated 11 crappie, 2 cats one yellow perch.
The wind gave me trouble from the start, it couldn't figure out which way it wanted to blow. I gave up and put the drift sock in the water to slow me down then the wind quit, so I had the troller up to 8 to make .7. Pulled the sock and the wind started again sometime you can't win. Out of the 11 crappie 6 were 9" to 11 1/2" the rest were 6-7"
You done better than i did 2 crappie 5 bass bout 7" [emoji107]

I went this past Friday night to Harris from 7 till 3:30 AM and landed 34 crappie. I stayed in 14' of water and did well if I kept my minnows fresh and alive which was something of a challenge. The water was so hot that the minnows were all dying and very fast. If the minnows were dead they would not touch them. As soon as I changed them I would have a couple of poles bend. I actually tried a brand new location because someone was at the hole I had planned for and it worked out pretty well. While anchored out for crappie I cast 3 rods out for cats and they were going crazy. I caught 28 cats until I run out of bait. Keep us up to date whether the night stalk is Friday or Saturday.
