Counting my blessings. I was headed to pickup my camper, almost there. PTL I'm not broke down with a 5th wheel behind me and the row truck got here fast
I hate that for you. It happened to me earlier this year too. But for me it was a broken trailer spring on I-55 near Southaven. I was luckier than you in that I was able to figure out how to get the trailer off of the tire and block it up so I could turn around and limp home. Best of luck to you.
Hate to hear it, at least you still got the AC.. if not you be over there under the shade trees and still miserable... waiting on the tow.
So, u broke down north of Canton? I saw on the news where it was snowing north of Canton.

Thanks Gene. I got her in to the Aamco place. They think it's the transfer case, said transmission looked good. Transfer case was about half full of oil and had tiny shards on the drain plug. On parts They priced a rebuilt case about 600 more than I can buy it for myself. Going to take it out and be sure it can't be fixed fore I do anything.

When you're out of town and broke down you're at a real disadvantage price wise. I originally wanted to just tow it home but that was quoted at over $300. Towed it in to Jackson for $100. Wish I would have come on home.
Got some great news! Transfer case is good! Transmission is good. What I need is a new wiring harness which runs about $100. I was worried and pessimistic but PTL He sent me to some good people.

Dodged one for sure. Will be a few hundred...tow in, harness, transfer case break down and service, service transmission.
