Here we go ! The N.C. / S.C. Clash

After asking for input and getting a few ideas this is it. The N.C. / S.C. Clash will be held Sat. Oct 1. It will be a night stalk event. We will fish out of Ebenezer Ramp this year. Mainly cause 95 % of the boats come this way anyhow. But also there are covers and cooking area to meet and greet at. How bout the meet and greet part start at 5:00p.m. at the ramp. We lookin at getting some BBQ from one of our local guys. Everyone can pitch in a couple of bucks for the BBQ and we will get someone to bring the buns or bread . Will need a volunteer for plates ,utinsels, and paper goods. Also a volunteer for drinks and cups. We can iron out the rough edges as time gets closer. But will neeed a pretty close head count on who is coming by Sept. 25 so we can know how much Q to get. Fishing will be as usual. N.C. group against S.C. crowd. The total fish weigh in will be decided at the meeting before launch. If you have never been to one of our little outings this will be the one to make. There is more tall tales and fish stories than newly's dog has fleas ! Come on out and lets make this one for the books. John I changed the title a little and made the thread a sticky so it will be seen by all.

I hope all that can tries to make this event. They are always a great time with other like minded fisherman.
I'm going to try to make this event if all works out.

I will be glad to help pay for the BBQ sometimes the restaurant will give buns with a pound, if they don't I'll bring buns. If I'm thinking right a local Fire Dept will have BBQ pork/chicken that day if you want I'll bring a pound from there.

Hey Turkeyfoot which fire dept? Got a cousin that was a Captain(?) at one. He lives around Matthews.

I got a plan for BBQ. We'll need a sign up list on what you can bring: buns, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, BBQ sauce of choice, plates and plastic spoons/forks/paper towels and drinks/water/ice. I'm going reserve the shelter this week and I'm looking at #3 which is right on the front as you turn to launch, just past the loading zone. This way, it's easy to load and unload ice chest/food/supplies and chairs.

Everyone is invited, family/friends/kids and guest, so just holler out who and how many and what you can bring by the 27th Sept. Pm Ofishlbizzness or me if any questions. :biggrin

Don and Neil will be there and I will bring plates silverware and paper towels. I also have ketchup and mustard to bring.

I'll be there and may have 1 with me. I'll bring buns.

I plan to make, however I'm fishing the North State event on Jordan on the 30th. That's a fast turn around but I should be able to do it.

I am planning on making it. Unless I can't get off work. Working 2 jobs will cut my fishing time, but sometimes we have to do what is needed.
I'll confirm ASAP and then let me know what yall need me to bring.

Okay! The shelters are reserved, BBQ will be provided, all is needed is for you'll to get your RSVP's made by the 25 of Sept. I will make a list of who's bringing what and how many participating. If you want your special BBQ sauce bring it. My wife will make some sauce and I'll bring some Sweet Baby Rays for those that don't like a little tang to their sauce. LOL I got a couple of the day time fishermen Bo Ramsey, Monk and Everett ready to come out and give it whirl. So let's get it going.:woohoo

You are the man Dawgg. Now all we gotta do is get some of them N.C. super stars to come out and show us how to catch crappie. Ya'll better get ole newly off the pot and bring him some help. Dawgg is gonna show out this year. And gonna be some good eatin to go along with all the other good stuff. Come on down and see S.C. bring back the trophy where it belongs.

I am working on getting my buddy Marion to take his Motorhome up for that weekend. Was gonna offer the campsite as our gathering place but the shelter would be better. I hope to get him firmed up before end of month and we will bring whatever is needed.

We will probably start the list around Labor Day weekend. Hope we get a good response to this Clash. It is our first time having a meet and eat before the battle begins. This should be fun. That way we will know how much to cook .The Dawgg has volunteered to be the chef on this. And from the looks of him he must cook very well. Any one that wants to bring something please post it and we can get an idea of what is needed. Also any prize donations will be greatly appreciated. We have 2 shelters reserved for us at the ramp. Should be plenty of parking as today was the last big hurrah for most pleasure boaters. Dont mean they are all gone just slacked off. We hope to have a great turnout for this event. S.C. is up 2 -1 on the trophy. Ya'll need to get ready for a shoot out this year. This is open to any and all C.D.C. members ,family and friends. Dont be afraid that you wont know what is going on. I dont either. But we love to have new folks come out and give it a shot. If you need any equipment for nite fishin just let us know. If anyone needs to share a ride with a boater please speak up early. We can usually get everyone a seat somewwhere. But please respect the captain and help with his expenses or whatever ya'll work out. .. Get ready and let's have the best one yet. ! Let's go fishing.
