Launched out of bayou Benoit, bounced around a lot trying to (not so successfully) avoid the rains.

looks like you're fishin in the middle of the bayou?is there a lot of grass there?
There wasn't much grass, i think it was more of a water depth thing...It was 2-3 feet deep near the edge of the bayou and 5-6 feet in the middle...

Well done. My buddy and I went Saturday out of doirons in to bayou grosbec. Twas muddy all the way across flat lake up to almost a mile in grosbec. Got 2 sacs there. Then tried bear bayou next door. Got 6 more sacs and a few goggle eye. Where did YOU launch from?

Jeez, I struggled the last 2 trips. Last weekend the water was terrible in Sorrell, went to pigeon and it hit me in the head that I should have went straight there from get go. Beautiful water, but couldn't find any fish, it was 11am and hot, gave up and headed home
