Anybody here use the 100 series Bandits, maybe for pushing ?
I moved about 3 years ago and packed up all my airbrush stuff and any projects I had going on. So last couple of weeks, I have started back to paint some crank baits for my personal use and while unpacking and going through stuff, I have found a bunch of Bandit 100's and other brand baits of the same style. Some of these are original paint and some I have custom painted with different colors. All these don't have hooks (haven't found my hooks yet) and Im not sure how many I have but I wont be needing them as I never did push and don't figure I ever will. I am going to get them together with some pictures if anyone has a interest in them. As I said, you will have to have the treble hooks for them, unless I find my hooks. They will be priced accordingly and will be a bargain for someone that wants a bulk purchase.
If anyone interested and wants some pictures before I get them posted, shoot me a pm and we will exchange cell #'s and I will send you some pictures that way.
thanks

Thx Larry. Can't wait to pull them behind my Tadpoles and Opti Tackle planer boards.
Those Tadpoles really work. Get the depth you want with less than half the line out behind the planer boards.

I've been pulling the number 1's. Gonna try the 2's soon. The 2's use less line out than the 1's. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...09e3ed0411.png

Smaller cranks and even jigs work best with these. A crank larger than a 300 will pull the front snap out of the dive position which is at the top of the pyramid on the tadpole. When a fish hits the bait, they pull on the line and the front snap pulls forward on the tadpole to the position the picture shows so you don't fight the tadpole when you feel in the fish.
Check out how to use the tadpole here.

I've been using from 3-4'. I also put a jig and a Southern Pro Hot Grub about 2-3' above my crank.
Feels strange when they're on the jig. You feel the weight of the fish, but you also feel the crank working. [emoji4]
I think anywhere from 4-5' would be better with the jig on it.

FYI---Most of the time you won't need them when the fish are shallow in the column, but when they're Really Deep, they're killer especially using a planer. Makes it really easy to free spool the inside planers with the shorter line out so you can clear the outside board with a fish on it faster.
The Planer Board Shuffle with Tommy Skarlis- How to shuffle Off Shore planer boards - YouTube
One more showing how the short line out works with multiple boards. I can run 6 (3 on each side) by myself. It's work tho.

I shuffle my boards this way by myself. I don't reposition the rods until I've removed the board and caught the fish. I then move my other boards to the outside and reset my bait and board that just caught the fish to the inside position.
I free spool my inside boards, and I reset the spool after I've cleared the other boards with the fish just like the video shows. I just keep reeling after I reset the spools until I get the fish in the boat.
Oh yea, I do miss figure on occasion and cluster everything. [emoji12][emoji23][emoji23]

A big crank will trip the tadpole. 300's work but that's about their limit. The short leader limits their ability to dive on their own just like pushing weights do. I would assume that the longer the leader, the more the crank would dive. I don't have enough experience with them yet to give you an amount of depth the cranks run below the Tadpole. Trial and error will take more time to figure it out. [emoji4][emoji4]
The smaller baits or shallow runners don't dive much deeper that the tadpole, and I think these are the main reason for the invention of the Tadpole. The walleye guys pull crawler/spinner harness' and I have pulled jigs. Those type baits don't dive at all, and work perfect with them. Stick baits work really well as do lipless baits like Rattle Traps. The tadpole opens up an entirely different selection of baits that can be pulled productively for crappie. The Sky's the Limit with them for deeper fishing, or should I say "Controlled Depth" fishing. Even when long lining jigs, "You Know How Deep You're Fishing"!!!!!!!!!!
