Decided to fish "PF" style with live shiners. I had found a big treetop that fell in the water 2 weeks ago and caught 4 out if it, so I decided to try again with shiners. Caught 6 nice fish out of it and found another treetop about 30 yards away and caught 6 more out of it. Fished all around that area , but never caught anymore. Went after some bream in some old beds that I found last year, but only caught 3.

Nice catch...shiners rule....I see it....but had to get the magnifying glass.....
Beautiful place there. Last time we were there about two months ago we were watching two gators in a cove when we heard a commotion on the bank and three deer ran INTO the water? Never did see anything chasing them and they walked away slowly after swimming across??? ~~ <*{{{{<<
Took me a while to see it, I was looking for a gator. lol. Nice mess of fish.
I finally saw it after reading the other post! I was looking for either a gator or snake also!
Thanks for the report. Chicot is one of my favorite places to visit. If it wasn't a 2 + hour drive I'd go more. Beautiful place to camp and fish.

Grew up 8 miles from the state park. Miss that place. I live in Texas now.
