Was wondering which plastic do you prefer? Smell, durability, ease of use and of coloring? Needing to buy some more and all I have used is plasti-sol I think that's what is..just saw some Littles less expensive and was wondering. Thanks

I use all Do-It branded plastics, mostly the Essential. Plastic is something you need to tinker with to find one that suits you best. Ten people could give you ten different opinions and none might work well for you.
Just buy a pint of a couple of different types of plastic and try them. I personally like do it essential it's tuff and holds up to heat well but you may like something else so just try them all .

My wife quit complaining that I smelled after injecting when I switched to Essential.
The best thing to do is like they said try different kinds. I've tried them all and will only use mf now

I use MF. But thinking of trying *********s.
I ordered a gallon of baitjunkies and it has a good price but after about a day with it had to get rid of it just wasn't for me

Oh Baitjunkies I'm not saying anything bad about your product . Just all my recipes was figured using MF plastics. I tried your plastic and my colors didn't match up and it took longer to cure . I might have done something wrong with it but baits were staying sticky. Like I said your price is very good just didn't have time to start from scratch. I'm not trying to get on anyone's bad side but you ask what I didn't like.
1. Don't handle the heat as well
2. The strongest smell I've seen
3. Very sticky after pouring baits.
Now one thing I loved it pours smooth no air pockets ever and the price is good

Hmmmmmm, funny, used almost every one except a couple more obscure ones that not many people know about. MF gave me migraines so bad I tossed what I had. I used the same plastic Leonard has for 5-6 years, couple thousand gallons with only one bad drum in those 5-6 years. What was it that you didn't like?
edit*
I found the exact opposite except for it being sticky, it does stay tacky a touch longer than some. But I found MF to stink something BAD. Leonards plastic will hold heat very well, better than any others I have used. One thing I did find with MF is it leached plasticizer very bad over time. Makes the baits oily after a while.
This goes to show everyone should try as many different plastics as possible to see what they like best.
How hot did you get it? One thing its very good at is heat stability. It is stronger odor for sure than some others. It does take a little longer to cure than some, its a dryer plastic and absorbs scent a bit better than the plastics that stay oily.
My main thing is I didn't have time to change my mixing of colors. Everyone has what they like. I'm not putting anyone's products down they all have good and bad in someone's eyes I'm not getting into a debate over who's is best. It's all what works for you
