Trying to get an opinion from anybody who has the Lowrance Elite 7 CHIRP. Bass Pro has a weekly deal on them for 379.99 and that is a discount of 120.00. This price is good right now but I can't say for how long. I've been looking at the Hook 7 they have for 569.99 also but with this price would it be better to go with the Elite 7 Chirp.
Have you checked with our sponsors? They usually beat the big box stores even when they have a sale.

I bought one 1 month ago, still trying to get used to it. I have been having problems with my minn kota powerdrive v2 causing interference with it though. Other than that i really like it.

Thanks "G" I will check with BBG Marine. The only reason I was thinking of Bass Pro is because I have 200.00 worth of their gift cards, but I guess they do sell other fishing goodies I could use.
I've got one and it's great. I would caution you to wait a bit as the new years modes will be released soon and prices will come down even more. If you're buying from Bass Pro you're paying too much. As many said, try Brian at BBG.
Got mine for Christmas . I like it but wish I had waited until I could afford SI. Paid lots more that what you are looking at

I bought one without checking into it. My best advise is forget it. Mine went bad within a month of purchasing it. After innumerable emails and calls they said it would be replaced. End of problems? I wish. They were on back order guess. After waiting weeks of fishing I finally got in touch with a service rep that was concerned and efficient. My elite 7 chirp was replaced with an elite7ti.I was told by a diffrent tech rep that my unit had been replaced in my account and the warranty was extended. Happy ending ? No Way. This unit worked for less than a month. I called from the lake and talked to a nice service rep that told me to check the voltage going into the unit. I didn't have a volt meter handy of course. She said it would be replaced if the voltage was correct. I told her I wanted it shipped before they received this unit. She said if I paid for it they would and refund it when they received my unit. I told her I wasn't going to do that because after all the problems getting the last one replaced it was shipped as soon as I shipped the old one. She said there was nothing she could do. I told her I knew She had guidelines and I wanted to talk to her supervisor. She said he would call. She called latter and said it would be shipped as soon as I called with the tracking # and she would send an RMA so I wouldn't have to pay shipping. End of problems? Not yet. When I got home and checked my email there was no RMA. I called but the office was closed. I called this morning and there was one emailed. I packaged the unit and took it to the post office. No it wasn't prepaid. I called again and was told that returns were the responsibility of the buyer. I told them that I knew better than that because the last unit I sent back they paid the shipping. Yep it wasn't on his little screen so there was nothing he could do. I paid shipping rather than drag it out and get my replacement shipped. I gave him the tracking # and waited for a response. Several minutes later and no response I was gung up on. This is a family forum so I won't tell you what I said then. I called back again and bless her heart I got the only knowledge rep I had found in the numerous times I had contacted Navico. She emailed the tracking # to whoever is incharge of shipping the replacement unit. I asked how long it would take to ship. She told me it was out of her hands once she emailed them but it should ship today?it didn't. So as pleased as I am with this service rep I'm still waiting. Hopefully it won't take weeks this time. If they would refund my purchase amount I would be the proud owner of a Hummingbird or one of the other brand's as soon as I researched them. Hard to believe a company that had built a great reputation with quality and service can be ran this way once it was sold. Its shamefull. I guess you know I'm no longer a lowerance fan. I have an old unit on my boat that had served me faithfully for many years. When I bought it no one could have ever convinced me to own anything but a lowerance. It saddens me to see how lowsy they are now.
that is only one persons story. I have been extremely pleased with lowrance's customer service. they replaced one I dropped from my boat that was out of warranty, no questions asked. had it in three days. free shipping.
I'm happy you have had good luck with their customer service. If I would have I would never had responded. I do hope my experience with them is the exception not the rule. I will post how this incident finishes. I will say all the reps have been very courteous this time. The hang up could have been a system error.Quote:
