Nor lying on boat where rain can blow in. :banghead
Well now you don't have test it!!
Had one inflate inside a locked pick up. Heat will do it, also.
These guys from cabelas come duck with me every year and on one occasion i heard this weird hissing sound and when i turned around i was looking at a concerned nebraskan with an inflated life vest standing in flooded timber:Rofl
Wasn't taking any chances.

I had 2 did it this year in last 2 months. LOL I guess old fashioned vest still might be the best
Last time I was at Horse Shoe, I pulled mine off and laid it on the drivers seat of the boat, about 3 hours later it went off just from heat from the sun. I believe you are right old fashion is best.

Glad to know I am not the only one it has happened too. I will still use mine. Iboats has the cheapest refill price if any one needed one beside me. I just gotta take it out of my boat and put in house or truck. Never had issues when out there in between trips
Go with the more expensive hydrostatic model. A pressure sensor sets it off instead of moisture tablet. It has to be submerged 2" under water before the pressure changes enough to inflate it. It solves the problem of rain and wet or humid conditions setting them off. I got tired of mine getting set off a few times a year. I have had no such problem with the hydrostatic model.
What is the brand you have had the best luck with D10?
Mustang. I got it on sale for $250 about 2 years ago. I think that is the normal price now.
Hey Matt thanks for the info. Would have gladly paid that up front if I knew the issues I would have now with what I bought. Can you post a pict of what you are referring to with trigger etc
A quick search found them for around $240. Well worth the money.
Thanks Matt, my next thing to save up for lol.
I keep mine in the boat. But they are in a huge ziploc bag when not in use. Started doing that after one inflated in the boat.
