Hmmm...try Power Pro
Let me see, I think you may want to try Power Pro!
Dave
Mr Jim, I found some PowerPro at academy in OB the other day. 150 yd spool for 9.99 in Red. Spooled up my line counters with it. Really like it so far. On your spider rig poles don't take much, just add about 30 ft over what you have now.
Prices seem to be better in olive branch. Lol.

Mine is moss green but I don't think the color matters I can't see any of them very well and it don't seem to matter to the fish when cranking

suffix 832 or some such has more individual strands and it is lots smoother than regular braid. Most brands have similar lines
My point crappiejim, I rely on being able to see my rod tips (sensitivity) as well as my line in the water. I can detect the slightest defect in either of the two. A bait that ain't running true is a bait that ain't fishing.. imo

Power pro super slick.
Uhhhhh, Power Pro
Has anyone here ever tried power pro?:Rofl
Buy it off Amazon
It really helped when I painted my tips white
Tug of war !!! Holds its color and not bad about wrapping around the tips !!!!! Nuclear Yellow. ..
Unless you have a true need for it then just pick up some fresh 10# hi-vis Vicious or P-line and keep on keeping on. If your considering it because your reading about it on the internet and all the cool kids seem to be using it then it's a waste of money. On the other hand, if you are loosing a ton of crankbaits due to submerged timber, huge catfish or stripes then that's a different story and it may save you some money in the long run but I seriously doubt your going to see a difference in your catch rate due to magic line.

Thanks satdoc, I'm happy with mono right now. Just was curious what colors were used, cray said he got red from Academy and likes it so far. I wonder why Academy doesn't stock any hi viz line in mono or braid, must not be a big seller... dunno.

Powerpro super slick and suffix 832 use same technology of more fibers and tighter braid to make it smoother. Get different colors to make untangling bearable.
Snubbys, I like the Red because it's a color I can see better. I have fished every color line you can buy over the years. Red, green, white, high vis yellow, purple, blue, orange, stream gold. It's just my eyes because when spider rigging I can see the darker color's better than the floro. In dragging cranks I don't watch the line at all. Planners and rod tips. I like braid because you can get a lot higher lb test with the same diameter as the light weight mono. Less resistance going through the water. Once in a while you can find the yellow power pro at academy but not often. But you can't buy it at bass pro either so I would say it's because of sales numbers. Bass guys don't use much colored line and that's where most of their tackle is marketed.
Reese its a name brand of braid a lot of catfisherman use it ..TUG O WAR.
Kast King is a good option as well, 40 bucks for 11 yards is hard to beat.
As far as it being magic, it's not but I pull through whatever I want, if there is a 40 foot opening I am going (tip to tip space on my long rods) without hesitation, I retrieve more hung up baits than before and rarely lose a bait. I cut down on how many of one color I keep on hand due to this and in the long runs saves me a ton of money.
Thanks cray, I guess it's what works best for each individual. I have a friend who is color blind and can't see any color line really. I like to be able to see my line at the water when making turns and I monitor my rod tips to pickup any debris on my crankbaits. Just a small blade of grass or a tiny leaf is noticeable with the pst rods. I've even picked up on algae or slime build up on the knot. Guess before I commented, I should have inquired what type of fishing OP intended to do. I can use any color for spider rigging, but love hi viz for single poling and pulling.
