Not bad till the idiots start crawling out round 10 or so. And if it is cloudy and rain it will be almost empty of water lice and wakeboarders. They hate gettin wet by rain.
May be busier than you think! I won't know cause I'm not going anywhere close to the river.:fish
Remus and I were talking about if a fellow got there before sunrise and set up at daylight, it might be worth the trip. Hit it hard and off the water before the first jet skier makes a wake. Ranger R61 you may can pull it off if you go early.:fish
Thanks, I don't think that I can get up that early and be out on the water and ready to start trolling before sunrise. Just can't do what I used to do. Getting to old.
Already got the brisket in the fridge ready for the rub. Will start smoking it early on the 4th. They are big briskets so I will smoke them between 3 and 4 hours then in a slow oven until they are about 200 degrees. They will be very tender at that temp.
I had thought about going early mon, just can't decided what to do.
What time we having the briskets? Sounds excellent and you got potato salad too? That's what were having along with the brisket! I got both sons and my daughter with their spouses and all my grand kids coming over. (16) I hope something will be left for me! Hope you have a great day and enjoy your food! Bet they'll taste good too!:popcorn
CBNC hope you decide and go. Those cats were really hungry Wednesday, they were after the perch we were reeling in and skinning the scales off of them. We should have had a rod rigged for them. Good luck!:fish
I found out my prop was bent. The new one won't be in until next Thurs so my boat is down until then.

No potato salad. We will have fruit salad but don't know what else. We should have about 15. It is hard to count all of them. One just went in the air force. Another is in Germany. He might be having girl trouble. At least she is good looking.
The brisket should be done about 4 PM. Got to get it seasoned at least 12 hours before starting to smoke it. I usually trim some of the fat off but going to try one without much trimming. Hope the like it wet as they call it.
I subscribe to a newsletter on smoking meat, and one recipe he injected cherry Dr Pepper in the meat, so I am trying it today. I used a Boston Butt and the samples I just tried were pretty good. Got ribs on now and a BlackBerry cobbler to be put in the oven.
Just my wife and son for dinner, his teenage daughter has a summer job at a marina on Murray so no way she getting off today. Y'all come, eat at 4.
