I was doing some checking this morning on the drowning at
Grenada this morning and was imformed that there had been another on at Sardis Saturday afternoon. A man hand grabbling with his son East of Hurricane Landing got entangled in a root ball and drown before his son could get him out.
Prayers for the family.
Damn. I heard two at Sardis and one at Grenada.

I saw an ambulance at Piney creek landing Saturday morn. Was this in response to the drowning? DP
It was, think they worked out of Piney Woods so not to draw so much attention. Saw the ranger boat they loaded him on head that way.

What happened to the person at Grenada? How did he wind up in the water?
Got in the water on his own from what they can tell, boat on the bank out of gear and turned off, wallet, keys and cell phone in the boat, found less than 100 yards from where the boat was found
Awful. Almost happened to my uncle. Big fish and a fuel tank. Daddy was there to help get it off the bottom. Praying for the family

There seems to be a flurry of drownings as of late . Just had one at Beans ferry on tenn/tom just south of Fulton . Also heard about one in Pontotoc county .
Had one at Tombiggbee state park too
