That's the truth right there in the great state of Texas. I have tried and tried to stir these Texans up. For some reason, this state forum is slow. Don't know why.
Too busy fishing?

How about a pic from Louisiana.Attachment 242344Attachment 242345
Heck I never understood why this board is not a lot more active. I mean really TFF is not the only good crappie site on internet so come on guys build it with talk.

2.54 is definitely a toad. Nice fish
Most guides and other people have moved to Face Book mainly. On TFF most guides quit posting due to people following them, but mainly 90% of the reason, is key board warriors. Online bullies that hide behind the computer screen causing drama.
i went to facebook a bit myself ....Johnny Ketchn is my screen name there .....
and i also hang on another very small crappie forum as well from texas .....
i like this forum ALOT .....the moderation here is GREAT and the folks are very friendly
AND ....the bite is on ......
you can even go stand around on a public "fishing" dock and hammer em right now ......KABOOM
Man don't tell me that! I just joined. I'm new but learning quickly. I need all the tips I can get. I did catch 20 today and 13 were keepers on Lake Tyler E. I plan on posting the details later. Watching my daughter practice softball now. Anyways, I love sharing, but seems alot of folks want to keep everything selfishly secret.
Check out some of the articles on this site. Some are excellent and maybe just what your looking for?

I am an open book bro ......you can pm me anytime and get the straight skinny
If I'm online looking at TX crappie stuff, it's usually on TFF. But I'll try to swing by this porch more often. A few weeks ago a buddy and I took my two young'uns up the big creek at Hubbard Crk. Managed a few keeper sandies and four crappie, with about 2 dz small ones in the mix. Biggest crappie was 14 1/4", nice West TX crappie. I'm planning to head out soon to drop some more structure up in the creek for when it gets good and cold and stays cold for more than a weekend at a time. Black body/green or chart tail was the only color I caught on, and mostly minners.
TFF ? wasting time there for sure .....:Rofl
Bagpiper, Im no where near a good crappie catcher but if you look up my posts I'm always giving info on depths and color jigs I'm using. If I ever get new electronics that work properly I will start giving even more info for people to read.
