Name that crank.

Ok, so Saturday I'm fishing with my sister, who's obviously clueless about trolling cranks, when she asks a stupid question. "why do you use so many different colors?" so I say "well we do that to see which ones the fish want that day" after a short pause. She asks another stupid question "so why are we still fishing with ones that haven't caught a fish on yet?" So I say "well we are fishing with my best colors now" and she says "so what's the point in having all of those other ones if you're not going to is them?" to which I said "fine then you pick one and we'll use it" so she picks this oneAttachment 242111 and before we got rod in the holder we had one on. So I put the only other one on that I had and the bite was on. So now I have a stupid question. What color is this, because I've got to get some more of them?

Great story. haha been there done that. After years of casting beetle spins, my sister asked me why always use the spinner. She didn't. Now I rarely use the spinner, just the jig. By the way, that is a nice color.

Well that is the right one and that may very well be what they called it back then but today a solid chartreuse with silver glitter on it is what they call a Chartreuse Sparkle. I've got 4 of those. I sent a picture of it to Bandit and they said it's not in their current catalog but they would try to find the name of it and get back with me. Doesn't sound like I'll be able to get any more of them unless I find some old stock somewhere.

Paint some of them JW, I think you'll be glad you did. I feel stupid for having them so long and never using them after 2 of them caught 75% of the fish last Saturday.

As is typical, the hot bait of the day will be they one that you have the least of in your box. That may be rule number 1 in cranking. Also high on the list of rules is "the more fish you catch on a crank, the more likely it is to get hung on a brush pile and lost".

Maybe it would be worth it to auction them off since they seem to be discontinued. I'll start off with $8 for the both of them you have. DP

Looks like you could take the chart/blueback and customize it with the reddish color easy enough. I don't paint them, but for those who do should be a cake walk.

ScottV on MS board can fix you up with that color.

Yea....that one is not in the box of the 50 or so I have....my luck! Sounds like a good fishing partner when her advice puts fish in the boat...lol
