You cant push minnows or pull cranks threw it. I thought all crappie fisherman knew what buck brush was
Cousin to Ironwood .:popcorn
It's called Common Buttonbush, and it's in the coffee family of shrubs/trees.
I've heard it called Button Willow, Button Ball Bush, Buck Bush, & Buck Brush. Excellent spawning habitat for Crappie, when there's a couple of feet of water under them. I've only experienced them at KY/Barkley lakes.
So it's basically the brush just offshore usually seen when water is low, but sunken when water levels are higher?
Thats correct
Looks like a crepe myrtle with out any leaves.
It's all that stuff growing across from Hernando point against the bank. Crappie heaven.
Thanks Cray,,,,was wondering what and why they fished there all the time,,,I will explore this place extensively now,,,
You best get to exploring, be on dry land very soon... it's OK I go out there today and keep an eye on them for ya, make sure they don't dry up or nothin'.. :-)
It is crappie heaven at times
Snakes and slat traps also!!!
