Grizzly Jig has a kit to make one out of a ice chest....even has a pump out feature
Trade boats....you got the money

you need to talk to cray,he usually knows what to do:biggrin
Better solution. Freeze jugs ice. Fish clean a LOT better on ice.
Air works better than a recirculator, Stratos recirc pumps work but it foams things up, putting my air back in mine one day this week. Timer on the areator helps keep fresh water in there too.
nope he won't...
Abu..never heard that before...any special flavor...probably going to try this
Foaming is caused by the Amonia building up in the water, air or recic water both going to do same thing in this heat. You really need to replace part of the water along with air or recirc. I run 2 air stones in mine along with a timer on fill pump to replenish water. Mine set on 7 minutes off and 1 on will still get some foam when temps get high. Then I go to 3 off 1 on and most of the time that takes care of it.
We always used the plain non-dairy coffee creamer powder like you get in the packs at restaurants and gas stations. We did have a thing of coffee mate for awhile. When you see foam just sprinkle a pack on top. Will not harm fish at all. We used it in our shad tank catfishing a lot. That foam is a sure killer it won't let harmful gasses escape the water.
I put the air back in mine this morning and got the aerators to add water every few minutes, working like a charm
Gotta remember I am working with a cooler here...trying to figure out how to alter it to be the most efficient
This is what we used to make one out of ice chest for HookOnes boat

And you can still put a timer on it if you want....You could also add Power Bubbles air pump and two air stones to the cooler as well.
Two sides of power bubbles running to a 5 inch stone now. Going to add a recirculator now
You can also get a bilge pump put about 10' of hose and extend the power leads and add a lighter plug or a set of clamps for your battery. That way you have a way to fill the tank while on the water and you can pump some water out and fresh water back in every now and then. I tied a 6 ounce sinker to my pump so it would sink good and I always try to sink it 2 or 3 feet in the lake hoping for cooler water.
Abu...going to do that..just need to get a hose
Hit walmart clearance sales like I did years ago and you'd have everything you need for cheap.
Too old for that, Cane.. I will buy it when I find it.
Can't hide money
Life is short...money is just paper...a way to get things I want..didn't have any when I came into the world..will not take any with me when I leave..
Why you need a livewell? Ice them down. If it's for tourney fishin....spend the paper for a big wrapped boat with fancy o2 system. You can't win a tourney without wrap and 10% off sponsors anyway.:biggrin
Dead on Feelay....I guess because I fished so many Bass tournaments, and saw several incidents of weighing precaught fish. I want mine live, and kicking as much as possible...I am glad we don't HAVE to weigh live ones, like this last w/e, but I want to do what I Can to keep them alive..actually I will release some legal fish..It is not against the law to turn some loose...sometimes I may be too lazy to clean them. As far as boats...you can pay $50 grand for a boat, and still be clueless, and fishless..Time on the water catches fish..not toys...and yes, if meat fishing I do ice them down...
Yea, walmart clearance prices aren't as good now as they use to be. I did get my share plus some. Bilge pumps, $1, Rebel sinkers 0.05 per pack, Malibou jigs, 10 pk 0.10 per pack. 6 and 8 ft cast nets $1. Inflatable life jackets $5. 5 pk paint roller covers 0.25. 15 ft ladder tree stand $15. Eagle Claw 202 gold hooks 100 pk 0.25. 12 and 20 gauge shells 0.25 to $1 per box, some were 3" 5 pk turkey loads.
I did pick up 3 pistol range bags the other day $19. Retails for $63, MLP $85.
The tank's pick up tube will need to be at the depth or deeper of where you're catching fish.
the most important thing to do is to keep your water cool. I put frozen jugs of water in my live well throughout the day and don't loose any fish. the hotter it gets the less oxygen you have in that water.
BD, what size bottles..probably don't want to get it too cold either
