Lake Greeson Memorial Day Trip 5-27-16 thru 6-1-16
School is out and my list of honey-do jobs is mighty long, but I started out my summer break right with a super extended weekend of fishing, camping, grilling, playing dominos, and just generally enjoying myself with great friends and family! A very special thank you to my great friend, Perry, and his family for allowing me and my family to camp with them for the past 5 days. Also, thanks to my cousin, Randy, for thinking ahead and reserving a campsite in advance or the camp out wouldn't have ever happened.
Here's me with a nice crappie on Saturday.

We caught LOTS of small scrapers, but big ones were there too. Nearly all were caught on jigs in 15-20 fow. No specific color seemed better than others. Just about any Crappie Magnet or Bobby Garland would produce fish. Probably caught close to 60 or more each day, but after Saturday night's fish fry we only kept bigger fish. I brought 35 home today and gave to my son's football coach and his family. I also delivered some to a lady I teach with so she and her family could enjoy some fresh fish and I shared some with an elderly couple who live down the street. I enjoy sharing my good fortune with others.
We all had a great time! GTT
