Nuttin like a good shade tree!!!!
Ant nothin wrong with that set up! I need to rig me up a shade tree myself.
Looks good!
Show a pic of how umbrella is attached to the pvc, please.
Looks great. That would make the cranking a whole lot cooler.

broharrell, I used a 2" PVC connector and used 1 1/4"reducer for the umbrella pole. The umbrella comes in 2 pieces, the umbrella and the pole. The pole diameter is 1 1/4" dia. Slide the pole down into the PVC and cut to proper length. This rig is over 15 yrs old. Got it at WalMart, and they have 'em now! Hope this and the pic helps. Almost forgot, secure the pole inside the 2" PVC with 2 sheet metal screws, one at top and bottom.Attachment 240762
Fabulous!!!!
I am going to try that umbrella set up. Thanks. Also, what kind of seat is that in front? Do you like it better than standard cushion type bass seats? Why is it better? I am needing a new seat and I am curious about this one.
Armyman, how much wind will that set-up take before it has to come down. I've already had a couple of crankin days where we about melted. The umbrella would be a welcome addition to my bay boat. Thanks for the info.
I like my sportsbrella and my fan.

Thanks looks shady (in a good way)! I will have to figure out how to mount the umbrella in the center of my 2015 pontoon without screwing it up. LOL. I also need to get some of those offset pedestals for my pontoon. They have the seats jammed up against the front. Can't hardy move. Problem is that it has those large different type pedestals/bases. Will need to look in to that.
I used the table base and the tube for the sportsbrella. I put some foam in the tube so it wouldn't move around. As far as the seating goes mine is a little cramped up so I was using the offset post but I just recently got one of these bases. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...6b4f071807.jpg
I think this is going to be much better. I will be able to sit wherever I want.

great
The offset posts have a nasty habit of trying to toss you over the side. the little clamp on fans from wally world are nice but every time I go there will be enough wind that I never use them. Thought about working a misty mate into the equation. The sportbrella makes all the difference in the world on those 95 degree days. brella, fan and misty mate all going and might have to take along a light jacket.
And a mosquitoe net for those gnats

Not sure but I think I saw some when I was at GrizzlyJig. You could call and ask Lou.

Pretty sure Grizzly has them
Is that not very tippy with that added height to that base? And also does that not make your feet dangle?
why not just ditch the pedestal??
Yep...I would remove that pedistal and just use a standard swivel seat mount
I use mine without the pedestal I have the exact same seat bases, I've had a couple y'all guys fish all day on them
I use mine without the pedestal
Lookin Good Calvin!
