They should be plenty of skiers, jet ski riders, and joy riders to keep the jigs jigging this weekend. I think I will go to stump filled Seminole where they want be any skiers.

Headed somewhere in the morning...not sure if I am going to keep it to some of the backwater just a few minutes from home or drive over and try some of the back water at Guntersville. I am fishing out of my kayak tomorrow so I will be staying away from the big water and skiers.
I think I'll fish tomorrow but not the weekend. But there won't be many skiers in this muddy ol river water :HandsClapping
Heading out this morning, to the Ct. River. Short trip as thunderstorms are predicted! I won't be caught dead on the water this weekend. Talk about crazy boat traffic! :)
I'm waiting until Tuesday. Might hit a tiny (non-vacationer) lake this weekend but I won't be caught out on any of these lakes over this weekend. I have patience but it seems everyone else does not!
I have a guide party Saturday and will probably get the wife out sometime to pull cranks. Ky Lake will be covered up with tri-toons, cigarette boats, jet skis, glitter green carp boats, etc. The hardest part will be dealing with the crowds of folks at the ramps who have the same etiquette on the ramp as they do in WalMart---ZERO!
Yes, the lake lice are aggravating but the fish don't care and you won't catch them sitting on the couch.
As usual, I plan to attend a few memorial services. I enjoy chatting with Colonel Jim Harding and other American heroes around here. Much safer this way. Google up Colonel Jim. He is a real hero.
I'm gonna try weather permitting, if I catch a skier while pulling cranks.... well let's just hope she's purdy and can clean and fry fish :biggrin
I plan on going on the TN river, I plan on running up river about 6 miles or so before i start fishing, there are no boat ramps close to that area of the river.
Sunday will be an adventure for me ....we are targeting Tilapia ....stay tuned ...we don't know what we are doing and are going in blind !
my ketchn kitchen passes seem to be in short supply lately though ....
family things are keeping me off my typical patterns
I was off work today and took my kids out,we all had fun and brought home a few.It will get to crazy this weekend to take the kids out around here.
I'm going to go down to a local dam and fish. Gets kinda crowded memorial weekend but going down around 2 am should be quiet.
I use to never hardly go when other people were on the lake. Heck I use to go out sometimes like 3:00 am and I would be back by 7:00 am or so. But then when I got about 45 or so my wife started wanting to go to the lake for the Holiday weekends and stay. Well I was like I guess for all those years I use to leave her home barefoot and pregnant while I was out fishin' and huntin'...I would start taking her to the lake like she wanted.I thought well I will just go out and play around and just chill out and watch people and eat fried chicken and watermelon, maybe dip a toe in and just relax. And just maybe make a cast or two. Shoot, after a while I just started sorta figuring out where I could get out of the worst of it and had some of the best fishing of my life. And on occasion sometimes I would even get into some fish where it was pretty busy. It got so it was sort of comical just watching people and sometimes run into the nicest folks.Generally always some people who didn't boat a lot needed a little hand from an old salt.
Always lots of pretty girls in bikinis...not that I would look or nothing:biggrin
Just rained about 6" or 7" inches here and more coming :dono
Early May of '09 I got my current and talked the wife into going for a ride on Memorial day weekend. So many people out and the water so chopped up we got air at 30 mph. She hasn't been in it since. If I get to fish it will be from the canoe and you can bet I'll go early and leave when the crazy people show up.
Already got started on it this morning. Hoping to get my grandsons in the kayak tomorrow for a bit of the action that I had today.Stump jumping for specks and bluegills.

Got hit head on at Grenada between hwy. 8 and spillway on July 2, 1980 . Boy was 2.8 intoxicated . Got to sharp curve and he went straight . Said then never would I be found on a major body of water during a holiday .With the exception of working at Enid , I have kept my word . Will fly fish at home .:ThumbsUp
Yes I will fish this weekend! For trout, with a fly rod, in a remote mountain creek.
