Grenada
I had my picture taken in water valley ms next to the statue of the world record crappie but im not driving that far to feel the thump. I will however drive that far to kilo a turkey!
Grenada is the best in the World....Bar None
I agree with Mc Daddy, and CrappiePro. Grenada has world class crappie.
GRENADA DON'T GET KNOW BETTER !!!!!
They are all the best in the world to me if the crappie are biting when I am there and I get a limit for the skillet.
Grenada is the place that is the best shot for an angler to have a good chance at a 3 lb crappie.
I think a lot here depends on who defines "best crappie lake". Some like quality fish, some like quantity

Millwood in SW AR is considered one of the best in the nation too. Strangely though I don't hear a lot about it on c.com. I think they keep it a secret when it's good there. But I know people who do well catching slabs down there, some of the things they tell is almost too good to be true, but they're not the type to make stuff up.
That's an easy one. Grenada.
Would have to say Kerr Reservoir aka Buggs island on the border of NC and VA. Numerous styles of fishing- shooting docks, brushpiles, numerous bridge pilings, and incredible forage from two nice river systems!!
Ty everyone for your input.
Grenada! Staying in motel in Grenada as I type this. Fishing for the next 3 days, plan to be here every weekend that I possible can the rest of the summer and fall!
Ima tell ya we got great fishing holes here in nea and I always said I'm not driving more than an hour to fish. But I took me a trip to Grenada and I been going back several times a year since. Never fished Sardis never fished Enid. Drive right past em and head to Grenada!!!
My cousin was camping there with his dad when he was 6 years old and caught a crappie that is still to this day bigger than I have ever seen! And that includes pictures, mounts, records, TV, ETC. Had no scales to weigh it with. Woulda went straight to the official scales if I would have caught it cuz it had to be some kind of record. They just put the cold steel to it as soon as they got to the campsite. Broke my heart but to each their own. I think they did take a pic with it, I will try to track it down and post it if I can find it. Its rediculously big! I would think alot of people would be fishing this lake. I will go there and make a report if no one else has been fishing it and willing to share a report. Now that I have thot about this crappie....got me wanting to go!
Grenada is the best in the world right now in my humble opinion. When I say that please understand that I also believe that Sardis, Enid and Butla all run it a very close race so don't discount those fabulous lakes as you are driving by them because you would be doing yourself a disservice. I have heard good things from Millwood in the past but nothing in the past ten years. Arkansas has had it's share of fine Crappie lakes which have for one reason or another fell by the wayside. Lake Chicot was once a world class lake for Crappie.....but no more. Lake Monticello was once a diamond in the rough with the potential for turning into the crown jewel of South Arkansas...... churning out monster slab Crappie as well as Redear Bream of unbelievable proportions but it's once bright light has also grown very dim.
I should deff stop by Sardis and Enid and fish. I may have came across the wrong way. No doubt theres good fishing there. Durn near any Mississippi lake is legendary. If I'm spending the money and time tho..... I'm headed to Grenada. Maybe some day when I don't have quiet enough time to hit Grenada I'll give one of em a try. Didn't mean to sound like I was insulting them or anything. Take care guys.
Grenada, I am hooked. I have caught maybe 4 fish there that were under 10", and too many 11" fish to count. Catching those 11 to 11 1/2 inch fish goes a long way to keeping you excited until that next >12" comes along.
You're missing out some great fishing. Grenada is the best for size, but you owe it to yourself to try all of the "Big 4", and Washington. Lots of GREAT fishing in Sippi. Good size in all of em, but better numbers in some. Just go where the fishing is hot at the time you come.
Central Arkansas is the best located spot in the world for getting to Multiple Lakes within a short drive that produces a nice mess of crappie to include some trophy's. It hurts my head trying to decide which one I am going to fish with rumors of they are slamming them here and slamming them there. As far as size MS, It sure puts out some big fish and in that respect they are the best in the world and they manage their lakes that way. But the sheer numbers you can catch within a two hour drive around Central Arkansas there is no better place than central Arkansas to get to lakes that will churn out numbers of keeper size plus crappie. It will hurt your head to try and put together all the lakes and water ways you can get to with-in a coupla hours drive from Little Rock. To get to MANY MANY numbers of crappie lakes and rivers in a short amount of time there is no better place to live than Central Arkansas.
Any lake that I am on, immediately becomes the worst crappie fishing lake. As soon as I leave, it gets back to normal.
Randell u can come down to south east Ar. Will be the worst crappie fishing u ever experienced and when leave if it's any conselatation to u it will still be worse in the state! !!!!! You who live in the central part of the state are blessed! !!!!
