My first Arkansas fish meal from fish I caught.report*

It's been a busy year, since I've arrived in Arkansas. There hasn't been much time for fishing in the boat, but I try to spend even just a few minutes each day fishing my pond. The other day I was fishing Senkos wacky style for green carp and caught this 28" beast. It was eating a whole bunch of the fish food my stepson feeds daily, so I decided to eat the fish! Pam prepared it by dipping the pieces in egg-white wash and then rolling them in a mixture of panko/parmesan cheese. She then baked in the oven. It fed three of us for supper and two of us lunch the next day. Not crappie, but we sure enjoyed it and look forward to when we have more time to fish from the boat!

Yankee boat, that's funny hearing you say that. Who told you we call them that? You're gonna fit right in with us slooow taaalkers. They even get slower the farther south you go. LOL

You mentioned the mowing. You may remember that my stepson is autistic and will be with us forever, and will never get a driver's license. Anyway, I taught him to use the rider and he does a good job. Our rider was old so I went out and bought a new 26hp JD, with a 54" deck. He'd never be able to handle a zero-turn. One day I was driving home from Newport and out there in the middle of nowhere, there my son was driving my mower along the road, with something in his lap. I didn't want to freak him out, so I went home and waited for him. When he arrived, I asked what the heck he was doing. He was driving to the gas station that is 3 miles from the house to buy snacks!!! That's 6 miles round trip. This mower is brand new and he had already put 40 hours on it!!!! I wondered why he was going through so much fuel...

That's too funny. Snacks are good motivation :biggrin
