Just tell them you believe in the death penalty and that you already think the person is guilty....They will let you off quick.
Tell them that you are hard of hearing. Get you booted quick.
LOL. That won't last long.
They find out who some of the guys you fish with and you will be out of there in no time. DRFishJD could probably tell you how to get out of it.
You poor soul.:bash
I really want to do it. This is actually the third time I've been selected for a term of jury duty. It's futile though. As soon as they figure out I was a cop in a former life, they kick me out. Also, about half the time, I'm related to either the judge or the defendant. Lol
None of those excuses worked for measure em or I. It is about time for both of us to get our 5th turn. He gets picked one quarter then I get had for the next one. Hope you go the whole period with no selection for jury.:fish
One advantage to being a pharmacist. Never on that list.

you better hope I don't get on the jury against you..... he he he
C'mon, guys!!? Whatever happened to civic responsibility???
Disclaimer: I've only received the letter once. When I called in first (per the instructions) they said that, based off of my number, I didn't need to bother calling in the rest of the week. So...I've never served. I wouldn't think it'd be THAT bad, is it?
Been there, too. I've had to go in but didn't get selected to be a juror, thank god. I don't think I would have minded serving, though. The case was over embezzlement charges, and a guy had supposedly stolen like a half million bucks from his work, plus there was some kind of harassment charge.
It worked out good because I got the boot the first day but I took off work for the second and went fishing instead!
I thought I would be the last person they would want on a jury but I got picked for a Special Federal Grand Jury, had to go to the Federal Court house in downtown K.C every two months for twenty four months.
I kind of liked it, we covered terrorism, organized crime and all kinds of stuff.
