Windy weekend #report*
Took the family to Truman this weekend to meet up with some catfishing friends. Of course they run water for 2 weeks straight but then I show up. It's like the guy controlling the dam knows I'm coming! I don't think he likes me! Needless to say, with the wind and lack of current I didn't even rig up a catfish pole. And the wind kept us off the water on Saturday but this morning it was calm and quite nice. We Put in at the state park and trolled cranks around the dam area. Managed to catch 12 nice ones and jen caught a little catfish to make it an official catfishing trip. Good times!

Were you camping or renting a cabin somewhere? We got back from there a couple weeks ago and the wind was horrendous the whole time. Stayed at Reel and Trigger.

Not bad other than the wind. Next time send a gift to the guy that runs water.

We camped at the state park. it was cold for sure. I think it got down in the upper 30's Saturday night, but I came prepared with coveralls for my girls, beer for me, and a small electric space heater for the tent. The dog didn't seem to mind the cold.....
