:yikesthat thing is huge. Nice pic of it against the one already mounted!
Nice!!
Thanks guys. I couldnt believe it when I was pulling it up. Felt a tap (very light) and the line just felt heavy. Almost like you got hung up but then it started swimming.
Honestly it felt like a crappie that ran into some weeds and was just heavy. Very little fight. Just weight.
So far the 2 biggest crappie Ive caught was at the same spot within 2 ft of where I stood last time.
Not sure if i will mount it as i already have that 19" on the wall and didnt want to spend another almost 300 bucks on this one.
Nice Dink
Wow bet that was fun catching him...nice job!
wowser!! Very nice!!! MMMMMMM thats gonna taste good!
SWEET!!!
Nice fish! Make a good sammich.:biggrin
Very nice fish! Which marina was it caught at so I can get in line? Thanks for posting and pictures.
It was at little platte.
Huge!
OK' not trying to be a jerk... but if you have a 19 incher and you are just gonna eat it. Why not put it back and maybe it will make 19 inches or someone that never got a real dandy could also enjoy it. Not a lot of crappie make it that big but in another year it might. Just saying there are a lot of 11-13 inchers to eat.
I know catch and release is not as big with crappie and I sure keep my share but just a thought.
I also release a ton of fish. Or I keep keepers and give them to guys next to or around me that arent doing so hot that day.
I think its fair for me to want to keep this fish. Even when I caught my 19" and talked to the ranger. I was about to release it back but he told me fish that get to that size wont live much longer. He actually encouraged me to take it home.
If you catch it, it's your fish. You can do with it what you want. No need to explain your reasoning on this forum Dester. Congrats on the hawg.
Congrats on that huge crappie.
Nice one for sure! I would have kept him to. No shame in that at all.
congrats on this and the mounted one. you got a great start to a stringer mount.
Wish I could catch little ones like all day long
I gotta look up a stringer mount and see what it looks like.
