Mig welding wire and a propane torch for powder paint and a little cheap jig eye cleaner from the fishing dept of pretty much any store for vinyl paint
I don't get paint in eye. Hold hook eye with plyers when dunking in powder paint. Comes out with no paint on eye. Just make sure you don't heat plyers in heat source or else paint will stick to them.
Curved tip Forceps, clamp over eye like Nip does with pliers. I'll dip it and then clean what little residue there is around eye with small pocket knife. Just takes practice either way. I have used pliers but I like the forceps better cause they lock.
End result when done this way. The plyers I use are curved as well.

They're surgical towel clips. Sharper than all get out and cleans eyes in a jiff. If you know anyone who works in surgery ask them to check the discard bins for these. Handier than heck. I was working a large distributor show in St. Cloud Minnesota and one of the vendors had these as a sale item. He gave me a couple to use.
I have an old pair of needle nose pliers that have very smooth jaws, a little squeeze and pull and most clean right off. But those Surgical towel clips look really cool. Gonna have to talk to my nephew who's a PA maybe he can get me a few pairs!!
They're quick and easy. No need to bear down on them as they pop the hardest of powder paint very easily.
I also take special care not to get powder paint in the eye. That has to do with temp control and pacing to keep it uniform. Too hot and it picks up too much powder, too cool and it doesn't pick up any. I want a powder coating to just stick to the ball to melt when it goes back in the toaster oven I use. Then I get a nice even coat with no dripping and clean eyes. I only do maybe 40 or 50 in a session; so I leave the whole in the toaster oven for maybe 20 minutes after the last one is done to get a good cooked in cure. I only paint black and this works pretty well for 1/32 and 1/48 jigs (both ball head and with reversed tangs) with size 6 and 8 hooks. I have other colors but no longer fish with anything but black jig heads and do not add eyes. I never quite worked out getting a good coating with the other colors anyway.
One other thing I find that a very thin threaded rod works best to hang the jigs on. Then they do not slide against each other to stick together or mess up each others' finish.
