Bobby Garland Fishing Report Contest ....Post an Oklahoma fishing report ....


Simply post a short Oklahoma Fishing Report in this Thread, with a picture and you will be entered in the contest.

Special rule: PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THESE POSTS ON THIS THREAD. Continue to post to your normal threads. Lets use this thread for just a short post and pic, so I can award someone a prize pack at the end. Do not let it interfere with the way you normally post to your lakes.

A picture is required to win.

Please tell us how you did, how you fished (style), and maybe include where you fished, doesn't have to be specific as long as it was in Oklahoma.

Any type of fish will count as long as it is caught legally.

The contest will typically run for 3 weeks, then a random winner will be selected. Instructions will be sent to claim your prize.

So let's let the games begin. Contest will end at 6:00 p.m. on May 23. Winner will be announced shortly after.

I got my boy Timber into some cats! He loves them! We have been catching them on shad in the flats. Oolagah has been great!

Every Sunday morning we go for a short trip to the pond. Timber has just started to catch his fish unassisted. Heck, he thinks he is happy, its a huge relief to me! haha The bobby garlands from the last time have been dynamite in the ponds! Thanks G!

Took a family to Oolagah last week. I was able to get on some brush in 12-16FOW, lower some anchored and suspend minnows. It was on! The kids had a blast!

More kids from Oolagah! they eat it up! always using shad!

This is Josh. He has had a rough time. He is still in the hospital and wants to go fishing sooo bad. However, this picture is a special memory to him! just more pictures of KIDS! I love taking them!

G, here is the little man that got "The Box" of bobby garlands! I am working on an updated picture. But, he had the time of his life catching these catfish, then i topped the trip off with "The Box"!

Canton is hot for sand bass and hybrids right now. Lots of limits being caught.

Been catching good ones the past couple weeks, mid lake grand. They are out in 15 fow. Some spawned, some not. Bobby Garland in monkey milk been the ticket. ( pic is next to my size 12 foot):biggrin

Attachment 238003finally made it out the thunderbird on wednesday. Bank fished looking for spawners but only found a few. Casting black and chartruse BG strollers around rocks, stick ups, and roadbeds. Was nice to catch a few fish and even more rays.

Went to Kaw yesterday.
Ended up with 10 keeper sandbass/hybrids.

Had a tough day of fishing on Tenkiller today, but it was great weather, fun to compete, and I did catch this nice black crappie. I caught all (which wasn't many) of my fish today casting and dragging over laydowns, slow reeling back. Attachment 238171

Got to do some bank fishing with my son at Oologah Saturday. Fished Winganon and Vada Point and come up with a few. Even if we'd gotten skunked, it would still have been a great day. Just enjoy getting to hang out!

I had a quick 1 hour cat hunt Saturday. The kids had a blast! Oolagha.

If you look closely you will see a good argument for using bigger baits!

Tenkiller lake at the below coordinates from about noon to dark, tied up to every stump above water in that stretch of cove and caught fish at every one of them. Caught 2 catfish (a blue and some funky looking dark colored flathead) 9 keeper crappies and 5 non-keepers. Caught the cats and most of the crappies on minnows and the remaining crappies on a cream colored whiteish grub jigs with the curly tails.

Caught these 4 cats on limb lines on the Arkansas river on the southern side of this stretch of bank the night before.

And this unique catch was one of the 4 cats above. We let the turtle go only cause no one knew how to actually make turtle soup.

Attachment 239226Fished Grand 5-16-16. Fished the Elk River arm Monday in some very rainy conditions but caught lots of fish. Ended the day with 13 keepers but probably had 75 fish or more. Just scanned the bank in about 15 fow looking for brush piles with fish. Fish were suspended about 10 down.
Considering the weather we had a great time.
