I would add, check for the plug in the boat.
Hmmm .... got to add that to the list!
×2 on the boat plug I think everyone has made that mistake.

I am probably the only one, but unplug the onboard charger. More than once I have looked in the rear view and saw a 50 ft extension cord chasing me!
My Thermos full of Coffee. Forgot it last Sunday and it almost ruined my day not having it!
Keys
Teeth
Hearing Aids
Extra truck key in the boat and an extra boat key in the truck.
Tools, fuses, tape and zip ties.
Toilet paper
Gas in the boat, extra 2 cycle oil if you have a two stroke, pipe tamper, extra lighter for pipe, map cards for Sonar, sculling paddle in case all else fails, push pole in case hung up on stump, long enough line to tow or be towed, fishing hat, extra sweat shirt 9have had times I wished I had another to put on),
Spare tire I had a blow out yesterday no spare 20 mi form home. Found a person that let me leave the boat at his home.
I'd add "fishing license".nonono
Toilet paper... Your feet get cold when you have to use your socks. Don't ask me how I know! LOL
my truck stays packed with enough equipment to bank or boat whenever the opportunity is at hand .....
i carry so many assorted things you just cant imagine .....so i dont really need a check list .....
i just need an opportunity .....and yes the reason there is that much in my truck is because of all the times i got somewhere and went ....are you kiddin me ?
i once took a trip to hunt to another state and was depending on the kid with me to help load the truck . when we stopped for gas in the middle a no where across the state line i said hey where is the ammo box you loaded i dont see it ? he looked at me like .....uh oh .....
and Texas is a BIG state :Rofl
For decades, I have made fun of a friend who... we got into the duck blind on the river, which is an arduous task to get to... got in there all settled and he said where is my gun? He went all the way back to the dock, which was two miles of torture to get back to, then drove 30 miles back to his house to get his gun.
A month ago, I got to the lake and found I had left my rod n reels! Are you kidding me? I did have one old rod n reel onboard and went with it.
+1 on the spare for the boat trailer. Seen way too many boats left on the side of the road while the owner goes to find a spare to replace a blown tire. Although mine is attached to the trailer, I always check the tire pressure in the spare when checking tire pressure on the trailer.
My thermacell mosquito repeller. Mosquitos will run a fisherman off the water faster than anything. Insect sprays and any type of fish bait whether live bait or artificial bait just don't work together and insect spray will just ruin a fishfinder(sonar) screen.
I to have left my remote for the trolling motor at home. I recently purchased a backup remote but I always keep extra batteries for my remote and air bubbler.
I have also left my bait nets and fishing nets at home or in another boat.
does thermacell repel gnats?
Sunblock
Needle nose pliers
Hand towel
Bottled water
Fully charged battery!
Make sure that you have gas in the boat

If you do remember to put tour tackle box in the truck....remember to put it in the boat... I ran 5 miles in bad water the other day in a tournament, broke off some rigs early...no tackle box...had 8 rods in the rack..only had rigged 3.....
BTW.. One of the other competitors,Marty Martin saved the day by loaning me a few rigs..
I carry an extra hub and bearing set in my truck. Have seen a many of rigs setting on the side of the road with the hub off of it.
I used to have a checklist. Then I added a box to the trailer and now all that stuff lives in the box. Everything I need for the boat, lives in the boat.
Before the trailer box, I put all the gear in a tote and that went into the back of the truck when I hooked up the boat.
I do similar to Hanr3. I have a tote bag i keep my remote, first aid, extra cap, fish finders, boat keys, parking pass, and misc that i take in and out of the boat. The rest stays in the boat at all times except rods---take them out before i put the cover on and put them in when i hook the boat up. And yes don't forget to unhook the charger. Trashed my basement and a 100 dollar extension cord one morning forgetting to unplug :(
fishing side -------------- net, handheld gps. fish measuring devise, fish cooler, Bait bucket .
wallet and toilet paper & hat....
Boat registration and insurance card.
after reading thru this, I think the real question is "What WOULDN'T be on it?" :Rofl
