I've never fished there, but have friends that have, and they say it has some whopper bream. I just might go there this week, and fish and camp. If anyone has any pointer's I would love to here them. Love them bream...:fish
Used to hear reports of nice crappie trolling near the dam. Haven't heard much about the crappie in awhile tho. The bluegills and shellcrackers get all the publicity there.
Thanks Bill, think I will give em a try this weekend, or first of next week. I will always have a open seat for you...:fish
Is it a 9.9 power max? Seems like I seen something on agfc website?

You can have a larger engine on your boat, but it MUST be disabled. No prop or whatever constitutes disabled. Only 9.9 and down engines allowed.
Sorry just getting back on this, but I have pushed cranks there a couple times. Caught 6 or 7 decent fish one trip and nothing the next. I think there are some good crappie in there I just haven't fished it enough to get an idea what works.
Bill's correct; you've got to have either the prop, fuel line or spark plug remove and NOT IN THE BOAT or it's a $200 fine. Lee County now has two game wardens and they're over there often. The crappie haven't been good recently; AFGC biologist said Bear Creek hasn't had a good crappie spawn for a few years. Bluegill and shellcrackers are great, though.
