I just reserved spot 13 ( Same as last yr ) from the Sunday befor camp, till the Sunday after, I'm ready.

What's the usual water level in mid-october at Enid? Will the ramps be deep enough to launch a pontoon boat? I know that several years ago (probably longer than "several") I took my pontoon boat there in the fall, and launched at Cossar park, trolled all day, and as I got ready to take out I backed my trailer in and it fell off the end of the ramp. I pulled it forward just till my tires were on the pad and loaded my boat as far up on the trailer as I could ( which wasn't far enough). When I got home and unhooked it from my truck she went "nose up" with the trailer tongue about 6 ft. in the air. It stayed that way until the next summer......
You can launch at McCurdy Point on the north end of the dam anytime. Good drive from Cossar, but you won't have the trouble you described above.:twocentsQuote:

OK, fellas....The location of the Fall Camp meal has been set. It will be at Shelter #585, which is located in the Persimmon Hill Recreation Area at Enid Lake above the Boat Ramp. I know this is not going to please everyone, but we need to move on to another topic as we only have a little over 9 weeks to make this happen. I will be asking for some help from you guys so we can make this happen.

OK, guys... the next order of business is the all important menu. I'm gonna throw this out, but I think I already know the answer. We can do a Pot-Luck, BBQ, or fish....keeping in mind as you know fish takes a alot of work for many people, longer preparation time, and less time to visit. I just wanted to give everyone an opportunity to express their opinions. I don't want to spend alot of time on this, as I need to get a supply list going. So HAVE AT IT!!
