The lake turned loose a few fish today. Had to do a little hunting in the thick stuff. This was the largest of the bunch. Caught him on a 1/16 tube jig in olive/smoke silver flake.
Heard a lot of folks having a tough no fish day.

Good one! I believe the post spawn pattern has about set in on Conway.
Those black crappie out of Conway are chunks. Nice fish and bet they ate good too.
They were a tasty treat. :) The wife had a big smile at dinner, RCC!
Two of the males I brought home looked like they had been through 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. Tails and fins were shredded, D10.
Look for the bait and the HEAVY cover. Headed back out today with my wife after some more coffee. Ya'll have fun.

Yup. Put my kayak in at Palarm access and only managed a nice sized bream and a decent green carp after spending the morning bushwacking out in the cyprus trees. It was tough and a lot of folks I talked to at the launch were having the same sort of luck.Quote:

Yes, talked to the "other" Matt (D10's counterpart) and they were spraying. The airboats are a little noisy. Glad I left the area! 😀

I almost kept at it given I'd heard the bite was picking up in the afternoon, but so many others I talked to out there were just having no luck whatsoever. At least it was a really nice day.

what area of the lake? fished Green's today for 5 hours and caught one huge bream and a bass bout the size of my little finger. Thursday, caught 4 nice crappie, all 12+ and a bass over 161/2. totally dead today.
Yesterday I was across the lake from Palarm Creek Landing. Found the gnarliest cover I could "crawl" into and they were there with the baitfish.
Today was dead for me as well. None of the baitfish activity I saw yesterday. Weird.... :scratchhead
