Hey yall, I'm from NC and will be making a trip to the Yorktown area for a few days in June.
Can anyone tell me where is some good places to fish?
Crappie is of course the target fish but will settle for some cats too.
Thanks in advance for any input and ideas.

Thank yall for the info. While on vacation there I'm going to try to fish some. Most likely at the free pier at Yorktown beach.
You may want to try the floating pier at Rockahock on the Chick. I have done well there at times. No boat needed.
The pier at Yorktown beach isn't the friendliest for fishing. If you go across the Coleman bridge (the big bridge over the York river), there is a pier a Gloucester Point that is more fishing oriented.
There is also a pier at Croaker Landing at the York River State Park -- I launch from there and often have room for a guest or two on my boat, so PM me if you're interested.
In June on the York expect to catch Croaker, Spot & Blue Crabs.
