Crappie Lesson.
Got to the lake Saturday morning around 12 ish."Chores" Bass tour boats everywhere,"Muddy water" from recent rain's fished an hour .Some close favorite brushpiles. Nothing no bites.What to do? go home!What would I do if in the bass tour facing these condition's? Find the coves with the muddy water running into the coves."clear water turning dingy" find the cover find the fish(bass/Crappie).Bingo The first tree top I pitched my "Arkie sexy shad"Black/chart" Game on!!Left them biting turned several females back to spawn.Caught several nice bream.Kept enough to eat./ATTACH]Attachment 234285Attachment 234286Attachment 234287Attachment 234288Fish the fish!Fish the fish! not just my favorite brush piles.I get locked into fishing spots. "Brushpiles" not the fish .when the lake rises"muddy water" or falls I am lost. "Fish the Fish" as my Grandfather use to say.Most fishermen can catch them not many can find them!!

I like that saying! "Fish the fish!" I have never heard it but it will be eternally in my mind. Great Catch!

Crappie Lesson.
Nice catch and story. I like putting them big girls back also. Conserve the resource. Eat em if ya need em, but put the rest back for another day. "You can only kill em once".
There are a few exceptions. On Overpopulated lakes you need to take em out. Also for the few you want to get mounted, take em home and enjoy the memories.
