Started out great ended terrible on LOZ sat 3/26
Well took the wife to LOZ launched from Fort Rec area went on over to Anderson Hollow and started to get my homemade spider rig set up in the second cove off the main cove on the left. It was 45 degrees temp when we launched. Water temp was 49 degrees. While setting up I was out in the main cove till i was ready and had the wife to back us up with the main motor and before i could get all rods in the water boom hook a nice 10 in crappie. So i think yes this is going to be a great day of fishing. NOT! Went around a couple coves and caught one more so we had two. So later on around 2:00 I decide to troll some small crank baits so I set up 4 and I wasnt setup really for 4 so dropped down to using three cranks. So im trolling around on the main lake and I come to PB2 and Im crossing it. Not going into it I know better than that cause there was a BASS tourney going on. So im in the middle of crossing the cove and in flies a guy in a blue ranger right behind me and cuts all my lines...I was pissed and threw my hands up and went home...So my day on LOZ.... let the two crappie go ....licked my wounds ..and loaded up the boat.. I did find water 52 degrees but that was the warmest. Still better than working though.
